MSHP/ASHP Pharmacy Technician Initiative
On December 7, 2008, representatives of 12 state affiliates signed agreements to join ASHP's Pharmacy Technician Initiative. Through the Initiative, ASHP and affiliates push for state laws that require, as a prerequisite for registration with the state board of pharmacy, completion of an ASHP-accredited pharmacy technician training and certification by the Pharmacy Technician Certification Board (PTCB).
